Shopping Bag

1. General

This site is operated by Galit Arin Cohen (כהן גלית ארין), trading as Galit Art Studio, exempt dealer no. 040217077, Israel. Business address: provided in the order confirmation only. Email: msgalitart@gmail.com · WhatsApp: +972-52-4277236 · the site’s contact form. Purchases are governed by these terms and by Israel’s Consumer Protection Law, 1981; buyers abroad keep any mandatory consumer rights of their country. Placing an order means accepting these terms.

2. The works

Original paintings are handmade and one of a kind. Texture, brushwork and slight variations are part of the work, not defects. Photos aim to be faithful, but colours may vary slightly between screens.

Room views are illustrations only. A room view showing a painting larger than the original is marked on the artwork page. The original size is stated in the description, and the stated size prevails.

3. Fine art prints

Prints are made to order on cotton canvas by a professional print partner and ship rolled in a tube (not stretched). Print colours may differ slightly from the original and from your screen. A custom-size print is made especially for you.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars ($) and Israeli shekels (₪). The business is VAT-exempt (exempt dealer) and issues a receipt for every purchase. Payment is by PayPal; payment details are not stored on this site. An order is confirmed only once payment is received and a confirmation email is sent.

If an obvious error appears on the site, for example in the price or in the artwork details, Galit may cancel the order before shipping and refund the full payment.

5. Availability of originals

Each original is one of a kind and may be offered at the same time on this site, on other platforms (such as Etsy), at exhibitions and in person. An original belongs to the first buyer whose full payment is confirmed. Adding it to the cart, starting the checkout, a message or a reservation request does not hold it, unless we confirm a reservation to you in writing.

If an original has already been sold by the time your payment is confirmed, we will let you know as soon as possible and refund the full amount you paid, to the same payment method, within 14 days. The refund is our only obligation in that case; there is no further compensation. We may offer you a print of the work or another original instead, only if you wish.

We may decline or cancel an order for an original in the case of an obvious error in its price or details, with a full refund.

6. Shipping

Orders are shipped with a courier of our choice, with tracking where available. Prints: free shipping within the continental United States. For any other destination, including Israel, contact us before ordering and we'll send you a shipping quote. Your order is placed only after you approve it. Import duties and local taxes, if any, are paid by the recipient. Originals: insured shipping, included in the price. Delivery times vary by destination. Prints ship rolled; originals ship rolled, except works already stretched or on rigid board, which ship as they are — as stated on each artwork page.

Force majeure and circumstances beyond our control: in the event of war, a state of emergency, strikes, a supplier or carrier failure, natural disaster, or an unusual change in printing or shipping costs, delivery may be delayed. If we cannot fulfil an order as agreed, we will tell you promptly and you may choose to wait, accept an alternative, or cancel for a full refund. The price you approved and paid will not change.

Handling time: originals usually ship within 14 days of the order. Estimated delivery time: Israel — usually 3–7 business days after shipping · abroad — usually 7–21 business days (insured courier) · prints — usually 2–4 weeks from the order. The estimated time for each order is also shown on the artwork page and in the order confirmation email.

Originals are shipped professionally packed, with insured shipping included in the price.

We may decline an order, or cancel it with a full refund, where shipping to the destination is unavailable, unsafe or unreasonably costly. Import duties and local taxes, if any, are the buyer’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.

7. Cancellations and returns

When: You may cancel from the date of purchase until 14 days after receiving the work or the order details document (the order confirmation email), whichever is later.

How: by email to msgalitart@gmail.com, by WhatsApp +972-52-4277236, or through the site’s contact form. Please include your name and order number.

Returning the work: the work is returned unused and in the condition received, in its original packaging where possible. The return address will be provided on request (WhatsApp/email).

Refund: made to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving your notice of cancellation, less a cancellation fee of 5% of the price or ILS 100, whichever is lower, and less return shipping.

Defect, non-conformity or late delivery: cancellation for any of these reasons gives a full refund, including shipping, with no cancellation fee.

Items made especially for you, such as a custom-size print, cannot be cancelled except as the law requires.

Damaged on arrival: please report as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery, with photos of the work and the packaging, and keep the packaging for the courier’s inspection. We will replace, repair or refund in full.

Custom commissions

A commissioned painting is made from photos supplied by the client; the creation process typically takes about 3 months including drying time; the estimated date is set in the quote. Payment: a 50% down payment to begin, the balance before delivery. A signed certificate of authenticity accompanies the painting.

Sketch and revisions: a sketch is sent for your approval before painting, with one round of revisions included. We are happy to adapt wherever we can. The style is spontaneous and intuitive, so once the painting is complete only minor changes can be made, where possible.

Photos and consent: the client confirms that they own the photos supplied or may use them, and that they have the consent of everyone shown in them — for a minor, a parent’s consent — to the painting and to the publication described in this section.

Photographing, documenting and publishing the artwork and its creation process (website, portfolio, social media, exhibitions) is an integral part of every work, including private commissions, and cannot be waived. This clause also appears in the quote, where the client confirms it with an explicit tick before paying.

Deposit and cancellation: the down payment reserves the time and starts the work, and is non-refundable once work has begun. If Galit cancels the commission or cannot complete the painting, the down payment is refunded in full. If a commission is cancelled after work has begun, the work remains the artist’s property, and a portrait of an identifiable person will not be sold to anyone else.

8. Copyright

All copyright in the works, prints, photographs and films remains with Galit Cohen permanently. Buying an original painting or a print transfers ownership of the physical object only, not the copyright. The works, their images and their films may not be copied, reprinted, photographed for commercial use or used in any other way without written permission from Galit Cohen.

9. Links and films

QR codes and film links lead to third-party services (such as YouTube), which have their own terms.

10. Liability and law

Our liability is limited in any case to the amount paid for the work. Israeli law applies, and the competent courts of the Southern District have jurisdiction, subject to your mandatory consumer rights.

11. Galit’s Wonder Rooms (mini-games)

Galit’s Wonder Rooms are an independent art experience by Galit Cohen, for fun and artistic purposes only. This section covers all its games — such as the WONDERBOX surprise box, the scratch card and the pretend supermarket — and games added later, such as card or solitaire-style games.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the law. For technical data, see our Privacy Policy.
